Lou Bailey
Bus Driver and Maintenance
Mr. Lou Bailey graduated from Grand Marais High School in 1969. After spending most of his adult life in the military and at Harley-Davidson motorcycle rallies, Lou decided to retire back to his hometown in 1992 and shortly thereafter became the Bus Driver and one of the School Maintenance men.
Mr. Bailey is involved in many activities outside of school including the Burt Township Ambulance Corps and Fire Department and Eastern Upper Peninsula Search and Rescue (EUPSAR). He is surely a “jack of all trades” and knows more about the history of the school building and of “old time” Grand Marais than most of the rest of the staff combined! For those of us looking for where it is or what to do, not to fear: go ask Lou!
